Nudge is a system where instructors can send students short quiz questions according to a schedule. It is based on the Ebbinhaus Forgetting Curve and research which suggests that timely reminder questions can help student retention of lecture materials.

Done
- Determine platform(s) for Nudge questions.
Decided on WordPress with HP5 questions and a Mailchimp email delivery system.
- Reach out to targeted faculty for beta testing. Dr. Zbig agreed to test the system with his Engineering Communications class.
- Set up test server for system and test it.
- Move system to live, permanent server home.
- Send first Nudge.
- Monitor beta test with Dr. Zbig.
- Evaluate beta test with Dr. Zbig.

- Set up system for adding Nudge questions.
- Plan Qualtrics-based revision for Nudge backend.
- Set up Nudge for Zbig’s Fall course.
- Invite 4–5 instructors to participate in Fall (Seth IDed insterested instructors in CDI)

- Revise system using Qualtrics as backend.
- Test revisions.
- Open up Nudge to larger user group.
